Yeah I totally agree with your take on the new coffee shop downtown. The pour-over was actually really smooth and not acidic at all. I was expecting it to be overpriced and pretentious but the vibe was pretty chill honestly. The guy behind the counter recommended a single-origin Ethiopian and it had these blueberry notes that I wasn't expecting. I think we should go there next weekend and bring our laptops to work for a few hours. They have that long communal table near the window that gets great light. I'll text you on Friday to confirm what time works. Let me know if you want to try one of their pastries too because they looked homemade. Also, their playlist was excellent with old jazz standards and some indie folk I didn't recognize. The barista said they rotate the music selection each week based on the roast profile they're featuring. Kind of a nice touch that shows they care about the whole experience. I also noticed they have a little corner with vinyl records and books for sale. The whole setup is really thoughtful and makes you want to stay longer.

CVS

I finally got around to organizing the garage over the weekend and found some old photo albums from college that I thought I'd lost. The pictures from that camping trip to the lake are hilarious. We all looked so young and the haircuts are absolutely tragic. I scanned a few of them and sent them to the group chat and everyone had a good laugh. It's funny how you forget the small moments until you see a photo and it all comes back. I also found that old hiking backpack that I've been meaning to replace. The zipper is completely busted on the main compartment. I think I'll bring it to the outdoor gear shop on Main Street to see if they can repair it, since the frame is still in good shape. Might be cheaper than buying a new one. I also uncovered my old rock collection from when I was a kid. Some of those minerals are actually pretty cool now that I look at them with adult eyes. Might keep a few for decoration. The whole experience of going through those boxes felt like a time capsule adventure. I found old concert tickets and a handwritten letter from a friend who moved away years ago. Definitely worth the afternoon I spent sorting through everything.
