Oh, I totally get what you mean about the weather – it’s been throwing curveballs all week. Yesterday I was driving back from the store and the sky just opened up out of nowhere, couldn't see a thing. I had to pull over under that big oak tree on Elm Street and wait it out. About fifteen minutes later it cleared up like nothing happened. My car still smells a bit damp though. Did you manage to get the garden planted before that last frost? I’m trying to decide between tomatoes and peppers this year, but honestly my soil needs some work. Maybe I’ll grab a bag of compost this weekend and just see what happens. Also, if you still have that old watering can you mentioned, I’d love to borrow it – mine sprung a leak at the handle and it’s not worth fixing. Let me know if you want to grab coffee Saturday morning, I’ll be free after ten.

So I finally decided to try that new ramen place downtown – the one everyone keeps talking about. Honestly, it was pretty good. The broth was rich but not too salty, and they let you pick the spice level from zero to five. I went for a three and it had just enough kick without burning my face off. The noodles were perfectly chewy too. Only weird thing was they served the egg on the side in a little cup, which I wasn’t expecting but turned out to be nice because I could dip things in it. My friend got the karaage chicken and said it was the best she’s had since her trip to Tokyo. I’m definitely going back maybe next week. By the way, did you ever finish that book you were reading about the guy who walks across Spain? I borrowed a copy from the library and I’m about halfway through. It’s slower than I expected but the descriptions of the landscape are really beautiful. Makes me want to plan a hiking trip.
