I was just thinking about the team meeting we had last week. The discussion about the quarterly project timelines was quite detailed. John mentioned he would follow up with the vendor by Wednesday to confirm the delivery schedules. I need to remember to check in with the design team about the mockups. They were supposed to have a first draft ready by tomorrow afternoon. I hope the weather holds for the weekend. I was planning to finally tackle that garden project I've been putting off. Need to pick up some soil and maybe some new plants. The local nursery had a good selection of perennials last time I visited. I should make a list. On a completely different note, I tried a new recipe for roasted vegetables last night. It was surprisingly simple. Just chop everything, toss with a bit of olive oil and herbs, and roast at a high temperature until tender. The carrots and Brussels sprouts turned out especially well. I'll have to make it again when we have guests over. Speaking of guests, my cousin is visiting next month. I should start thinking about activities. Maybe a trip to the museum or a hike if the weather is nice. I received an email from the library about some new books I had on hold. I should swing by and pick them up. I've been wanting to read that new historical fiction novel. It's supposed to be very well-researched. The author spent years going through archives. I find that level of dedication impressive. In other news, the office is getting new chairs. The ergonomic assessment was completed, and the order was placed. It will be nice to have better support. I've been noticing some stiffness in my shoulders after long days at the desk. Perhaps I should also look into some stretching routines. I saw a short video about desk yoga that seemed practical. I'll need to find a few minutes during the day to try it. The coffee machine in the break room has been acting up again. It makes a strange gurgling sound. Someone put in a maintenance request. I hope it gets fixed soon. I rely on that afternoon cup. I've been drinking more tea lately as an alternative. There's a nice peppermint blend that's quite refreshing. I should order more. I need to update my calendar for next week. There are a few appointments I haven't logged yet. The dentist on Tuesday at two, and the car service on Thursday morning. I should also block out time to work on the budget report. It's due by the end of the month. I received a postcard from an old friend who moved overseas. It was nice to hear from them. They seem to be enjoying the new city. The photograph on the postcard was of a beautiful coastline. It must be lovely to live near the water. I should write back this weekend. I've been putting it off for too long. I need to buy stamps. I wonder if the post office is open on Saturday. I'll have to check. The weekend forecast looks promising. Sunny with mild temperatures. Perfect for being outside. I might go for a long bike ride if I can. The trail by the river is usually clear this time of year. I saw some bluebirds there last weekend. It was a nice surprise.
