I finally finished that weekend project I mentioned. It took way longer than expected because I kept making small cuts wrong and had to redo a few pieces. But honestly, learning to use the tools properly is half the fun. I ended up sanding everything down and applying a clear coat. It looks decent standing against the wall. The cats are already trying to claim the top shelf as a napping spot. I'm thinking about adding some LED strips underneath just to give it a bit of a glow at night. My neighbor saw it and asked if I could build a smaller one for his office. Might consider it if I can find the time. Overall, pretty satisfying to finally have a place to store all those novels that were piling up on the floor. Next step is to organize them, maybe by color or genre. Haven't decided yet. Let me know if you want me to send over the plans I loosely followed. It's a basic design but definitely customizable. Anyway, hope your week is going well so far.

So I tried that pasta bake recipe you sent over last month. Finally got around to it. I swapped out the regular sausage for a spicy chicken version and added a bit of extra garlic because you can never have too much garlic. It turned out really well actually. The cheese on top got perfectly crispy in the oven. I brought the leftovers to lunch a couple of days later and they were even better. I think letting it sit overnight really lets the flavors meld together. I'm going to make it again next week for a small get-together. I'll probably double the recipe this time. Let me know if you have any other similar suggestions. I'm on a bit of a comfort food kick lately. Also, I finally watched that documentary series you recommended. It was pretty eye-opening. Some of the cinematography was stunning. Anyway, just wanted to share my little culinary victory. Hope you're doing well and staying busy with your own projects.
