I think your question about the best approach for the community garden workday is worth considering carefully. We have about fifteen volunteers confirmed for Saturday morning and another six for the afternoon shift. The raised beds along the south fence need the most attention since the rabbit damage set back several plantings. I spoke with the Parks Department and they agreed to deliver three more cubic yards of compost by Friday afternoon. The tool shed is stocked but we could use a few more hand trowels if anyone has extras to bring. We should plan to divide into teams one group for weeding and soil prep and another for planting the fall vegetables. The weather looks cooperative with moderate temperatures and only a slight chance of showers late in the day. I will bring the cooler with water and lemonade as I did last time. Let me know if you think we should also set up a table for seed swapping like we discussed.

OMAHA STEAKS
Hand-selected cuts, prepared with care

Gourmet Steak Sampler Program

A selection of premium cuts, prepared for recipients at no charge.

Access your sampler

Omaha Steaks is extending an opportunity for participants to receive a gourmet steak sampler at no charge. A total of 500 boxes are allocated for this program, each ordinarily valued above $600. Recipients of this notice are guaranteed a sampler, with one per household. This offer concludes Tomorrow.

Each cut is hand-selected and flash-frozen to preserve flavor and tenderness. Recipients will not be billed for the sampler—the full cost is covered by the program for this offer.

Inside Your Box

• Four New York Strip steaks

• Four Filet Mignon cuts

• Six Top Sirloin steaks

• Four Ribeye steaks

Quantities are determined by program allocation. One sampler per household.

Thank you for taking a moment to review this program.

I saw your question about how the hiking trip planning is coming along and wanted to share some thoughts. The trail maps arrived yesterday and the ranger station confirmed that the northern loop is open again after the maintenance work last month. We will need to reserve the group campsite at least two weeks in advance since it tends to fill quickly on weekends. I think the three-day itinerary you sketched out looks solid with the first day covering the easier terrain and building up to the summit on day two. The weather outlook for that window shows mild temperatures and low precipitation which should make for good trail conditions. I will pack the cooking gear and the larger tent as I did on our last trip. Let me know if you want to adjust the meal plan or add any extra rest stops along the route.
