I finally got around to watching that documentary everyone's been talking about. Honestly, I was skeptical at first because the runtime felt a bit long, but it really pulled me in after the first twenty minutes or so. The cinematography was stunning and there were a few moments that genuinely surprised me. My favorite part was the interview with the older gentleman who lived through the whole thing — his perspective was just so grounded and real. I ended up staying up way later than I planned because I couldn't stop watching. My cat was not happy about the disrupted schedule, but she curled up next to me anyway so I think she forgave me. Have you seen it yet? I'd love to hear what you thought, especially about the ending. I've been recommending it to everyone I know, and so far the reactions have been mixed but mostly positive. Anyway, that's what I've been up to this week. Hope you're doing well and finding time for the things that matter most to you right now. Let me know when you're free to catch up properly.

I tried planting tomatoes for the first time this season and I have to say it's been quite the learning experience. I started them from seed in little starter pots on the windowsill and watched them grow bit by bit each day. Some of them got a bit leggy because I didn't have enough light, so I moved them outside once the weather warmed up. Now they're in raised beds and absolutely thriving. I had no idea there were so many different varieties — I went with a cherry tomato called Sun Gold and a larger heirloom called Brandywine. The Sun Golds are already ripening and they are incredibly sweet. I've been eating them straight off the vine while I water in the evening. My neighbor gave me some tips on pruning and staking that have made a huge difference. It's been really satisfying to watch them grow from tiny seeds into big productive plants. I think next year I'll try peppers and maybe some cucumbers too. Let me know if you have any gardening recommendations — I'm always looking to learn more about what grows well around here.
