Yeah, I finally made it up to the trail last weekend. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and the leaves are just starting to turn at the higher elevations. We started around 7 AM to beat the crowds, which was smart because by the time we came down around noon the parking lot was completely full. The view from the summit was incredible, you could see the lake shimmering in the distance. We packed sandwiches and ate them sitting on this big flat rock. I wish you could have come along qjToI9HK08T maybe next time we can plan it together. The whole loop was about 8 miles with around 1800 feet of elevation gain, which felt challenging but manageable. My legs are still a little sore today but it was absolutely worth it. Let me know if you want me to send you the trail details.

So I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last month. It was way easier than I expected honestly. I was a little intimidated by the homemade sauce part but it came together in about 30 minutes. I used fresh basil from the little plant I keep on the kitchen windowsill. The recipe called for a specific type of cheese but I just used what I had in the fridge and it turned out fine. I served it with a simple side salad and some garlic bread.
