I totally agree with you about the trail conditions. We did the Eagle Lake hike last weekend and it was perfect, not too muddy yet. The weather held up nicely too, just a slight breeze at the summit. I packed way too much food as usual, but better safe than sorry. We saw a couple of deer near the tree line, which was a nice surprise. My legs are still sore though, getting old I guess! Let me know if you want to hit the trails again next month. I'm thinking of trying that new loop trail they just opened near Pine Creek. It's supposed to be moderate but has some great views. Anyway, talk to you later!

I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me. It was really good! I added some grilled chicken and a bit of extra garlic because you can never have too much. The sauce came out a bit thicker than I expected, but it coated the pasta perfectly. We had it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. The whole family loved it, even the kids, which is always a win in my book. I'll definitely be making that one again. Thanks for sharing it!
