I looked over the draft this morning and I think it is almost there, but I would still tighten the second paragraph so the whole thing reads more naturally.
I also moved one sentence to the end because the pacing felt smoother that way, and oddly enough it solved the repetition issue too.
If you want, I can send another pass tonight after dinner because I have a little quiet time then and can read it fresh.
I maybe would not change the opening too much, since it already sounds clear, though I did notice one transition that felt abrupt when I read it aloud to myself j2qFjdgxmH earlier.

I ended up taking the longer route home yesterday just to clear my head, and it helped a lot more than I expected because everything felt less rushed after that.
I also finally started the book you mentioned, and the first few chapters are interesting in a quiet way, which was exactly the mood I wanted.
I still have not decided if I want to go this weekend, but if the weather stays mild I probably will make the trip and keep it simple.
