Hi Mark, just checking in about the weekend plans. Did you decide on that recipe you were talking about I was thinking we could try something different this time, maybe a one-pot pasta dish. I saw an interesting method where you simmer everything together with broth. It seems straightforward and would cut down on cleanup, which is always a plus. Let me know what you think. I can pick up any ingredients on my way over. We'll need some cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, and of course the pasta. I have a good parmesan at home already. The weather looks nice, so we could even eat outside if we tidy up the patio a bit. I'll bring a tablecloth. On another note, how is your garden coming along My herbs are finally taking off, especially the mint. I've been using it in iced tea all week. It's so refreshing. I might try making a mint sauce for lamb next week, but that's a bit ambitious for a Tuesday. Maybe just a simple herb salad. I read a tip about washing and drying herbs thoroughly before storing them, it really extends their life. I've been keeping them in glass jars with a damp paper towel. Seems to work well for cilantro and parsley. Back to the pasta idea, we could add some spinach for extra greens. Or maybe some cannellini beans for protein. I'm flexible. Just let me know your preferences. Also, do you have any dietary notes I should consider for Sarah I remember she doesn't eat dairy, but I can't recall if that's still the case. I can make a separate portion without cheese. It's no trouble at all. I'm looking forward to catching up. It's been a few weeks since we all got together. I have some stories from my trip to the farmers market last Saturday. You wouldn't believe the size of the heirloom tomatoes they had. Absolutely massive. I regret not buying one. Next time. Anyway, send me a message when you have a moment to think about the menu. No rush. Talk soon.
