I was just thinking about the team lunch next week. We should probably decide on a place soon. Maybe that new sandwich spot Or we could go back to the reliable pizza place. Let me know your thoughts. I remember last time we had that great pasta salad. Someone brought a recipe from home, I think it had olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Really simple but tasty. On a different note, I need to remember to pick up groceries on the way home. We're out of coffee, which is a crisis waiting to happen tomorrow morning. I prefer the whole bean kind, grind it fresh. Makes a big difference, don't you think My neighbor was talking about a cold brew method she's been using all summer. She says it's less acidic. I should ask for the details. Speaking of recipes, I tried a new marinade for chicken last night. Just some lemon juice, garlic, and herbs. Grilled it, came out pretty well. Served it with some roasted vegetables – carrots and zucchini. Easy weeknight meal. The weather has been so nice in the evenings, perfect for eating outside. We should have a barbecue before summer ends. Just a casual get-together. I can make those bean burgers I tried last month. Everyone seemed to like them, even the dedicated meat-eaters. I found the recipe in an old magazine. It called for black beans and walnuts. I tweaked it a bit, added some smoked paprika. Anyway, back to work topics. The quarterly review documents are due Friday. I'll start compiling my section today. The formatting template is a bit fiddly, but I think I've got the hang of it now. Let's touch base tomorrow to align on the key points. Also, don't forget the all-hands meeting at 3 PM today. They're supposed to talk about the new project timelines. I hope it doesn't run long. I have a call scheduled for 4:15. Maybe I should move it, just in case. I'll check my calendar. What else Oh, the printer on the third floor is jammed again. Someone put the wrong paper in the tray. I had to go down to the second floor to get my pages. A bit of a walk, but good to stretch the legs. I've been sitting too much lately. My friend recommended a standing desk converter. She says it helped her back pain. I might look into it. They aren't too expensive. Well, I should get back to these reports. Let me know about lunch. Maybe send an email to the whole group to gauge interest. We could do a quick poll. Sandwich place, pizza, or the Thai place around the corner The Thai place is always good. Their peanut sauce is excellent. I could go for some pad see ew right now. Talk soon.
